The Alfa Romeo Gloria idea, which we showed you earlier, will preview the new Alfa Romeo Giulia concept, based on an Automotive News Europe report. More pictures of the smooth sedan have also surfaced ahead of its Geneva debut subsequent month.
Scheduled for a 2015 launch in the US, Europe and Asia, the Giulia can be available in sedan and wagon bodystyles. The report adds that the Alfa Romeo 159 replacement is an important a part of Fiat-Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne‘s plan to push Alfa’s gross sales to 300,000 units by 2016.
If the Giulia’s dimensions stay trustworthy to the Gloria concept’s 4.7 metre length, 1.92 metre width, 1.32 metre top and 2.9 metre wheelbase, then it would have the longest wheelbase amongst cars developed on Fiat-Chrysler’s compact wide architecture.
The Alfa Romeo Gloria concept was jointly developed with 20 college students from Turin’s European Design Institute (IED). They have been asked to design a sedan that might appeal to American and Asian customers.
